A Jersey City Condo Gets a Colorful Mid-Century Makeover

The KEEKS Interiors Design Process
Step 1: Getting to know the client
Meet Margo & Berto! Creative professionals with a shared love of music, design & culture.
I always begin projects by getting to know my clients. It’s the unique passions, needs and style of each client that inspires my designs! After a consultation with Margo, I learned her main goal was to fill her condo with color. She also shared a love of Mid Century design and preference for jewel tone colors. We were also able to include BIPOC brands and vintage items - which speak to Margo’s passions!
Step 2: The Moodboard
I create moodboards for my clients to help convey my design direction in one easy to understand visual.
Margo purchased a KEEKS Full Design Service - which always includes a moodboard. Using Margo’s preferred design style and color palette as a starting point, I added inspiration images, colors and textures to her moodboard.
Step 3: The Design Board + Floorplan
Based on the moodboard, I sourced furniture, accessories and decor to create the colorful Mid-Century design Margo craved. Putting all of this together on the Design Board helped Margo visualize her space. It’s always helpful to see how everything will look together before committing to buying!
