T-shirt backstory:

I came up with the idea for this T-shirt in the middle of the pandemic, in July 2020. At the time the Black Lives Matter movement was at the forefront, and the race disparity in this country was felt more than ever.

As I was laying in bed one night, I began thinking about the lack of diversity in my own industry of Interior Design/Architecture. I thought about how if one googles ‘Interior Designer’ or ‘Architect’ the majority of images are White men and women - aka no one who looks like me.

This is not only disheartening but definitely seeps in subconsciously that maybe I don’t belong at this table, or in this industry.
But the truth is, no matter who you are, YOU belong in every industry and at any table you find yourself at.

This shirt is for my female friends feeling the pressure of working in a male dominated field, often being one of the only women in the office.
This shirt is for my fellow BIPOC designers who find themselves being one of the few BIPOC people in a meeting.
This shirt is for anyone who ever feels less than great for how they look/don’t look, compared to others (hey, it happens to the best of us!)

New colors & designs coming soon 😉
